Java Full Stack Developer

Overview

Senior software development engineer responsible for architecting, developing, deploying and supporting enterprise web applications and their supporting infrastructure, acting as a technical leader within the development team.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain enterprise web applications and internal business tools.
• Build scalable Java-based applications using modern software engineering principles and MVC design patterns.
• Develop and maintain full-stack solutions using Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and related web technologies.
• Implement secure, maintainable and high-performing application architectures.
• Participate in technical design sessions, solution architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and SOAP-based web services.
• Integrate applications with internal and external platforms, databases and third-party systems.
• Develop data exchange processes and automation workflows.
• Support migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy applications and platforms.
• Design and implement database integrations and data access layers.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures and optimization strategies.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement database tuning improvements.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity and scalability across applications.
• Support troubleshooting of production database issues.
• Administer and support enterprise environments running Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly, Linux and Microsoft Windows Server.
• Manage deployments, upgrades and production support activities.
• Monitor application performance and system health.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking and application-related issues.
• Work with IT teams to optimize hosting environments and reduce operational costs.
• Provide Tier 3 application support for critical business systems.
• Analyze and resolve software defects, operational incidents and performance issues.
• Support release management and deployment processes.
• Ensure high application availability and reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Partner directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in solution reviews, planning sessions and technical mentoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
• Provide technical guidance during project execution and issue resolution.
• Promote continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.

What you'll need

• Java, enterprise Java, MVC architecture, object-oriented design and programming, multi-tier application development.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, responsive web design.
• REST APIs, SOAP web services, JSON, XML, authentication and security protocols.
• Apache Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly, Apache HTTP Server, web application deployment and configuration.
• SQL Server, Oracle, JDBC, database performance tuning, stored procedures, complex query development.
• Linux administration, Windows Server administration, shell scripting and automation.
• Git, CI/CD concepts, application monitoring, troubleshooting, performance diagnostics, production deployment and support.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of enterprise software development experience.
• Strong background in full-stack application development.
• Experience supporting large-scale internal business applications.
• Knowledge of survey platforms, workflow automation and operational tools.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Ability to balance development responsibilities with production support and infrastructure management.
