Java Microservices Developer- 3 to 6 Years

Overview

As a Java Microservices Developer, you will design, build and modernize secure, scalable microservices that support retirement product solutions and customer processing. You will develop cloud-ready applications and contribute to reliable, high-performance platforms supporting critical business operations.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain secure, scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot technologies.
• Design and build RESTful APIs that integrate with databases, messaging platforms and external systems.
• Deploy, monitor and support containerized applications across OpenShift and cloud environments.
• Modernize legacy applications into reusable, maintainable and scalable service-based architectures.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance.
• Support Agile delivery through planning, estimation and continuous improvement activities.

What you'll need

• Experience developing enterprise applications using Java-based microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17 or higher.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data and Spring Security.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, service integrations and relational database solutions using SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Red Hat OpenShift or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Hands-on experience with Git, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in automated testing using JUnit, Mockito and integration testing frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm and OpenShift ecosystem tools.
• Knowledge of AWS services including EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch and IAM.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI, Swagger and observability practices.
