Java Microservices Senior Developer

Overview

Senior Developer for Java microservices within Citi’s Digital Software Engineering organization. You’ll build, test, and implement secure, stable, maintainable code while supporting application systems analysis and delivery.

What you'll do

• Turn application design and tech stack into code across development platforms.
• Perform application systems analysis and programming, including feasibility and estimates.
• Own the full development lifecycle: design, construction, testing, and implementation.
• Support digital applications development, risk technology, and middleware/mainframe and non-mainframe applications.
• Learn system functionality, architecture, dependencies, and runtime operations.
• Build and maintain project development schedules considering SDLC and dependencies.
• Automate code quality/performance checks and unit testing in CI/CD pipelines.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years in an applications development role.
• Strong development experience using Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and databases.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills (data-driven, results-oriented).
• Experience running high-traffic, distributed, cloud-based services.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
