Junior Data Engineer

Overview

Junior/entry-level Data Engineer role focused on building and maintaining data pipelines and supporting cloud data warehouse workflows.

What you'll do

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines under senior guidance.
• Write, test, and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Support batch data ingestion and basic ETL/ELT workflows using Python.
• Maintain data quality by running basic checks and flagging inconsistencies.
• Work within a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake/Databricks) under supervision.
• Document work, participate in code reviews, and communicate progress and blockers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field (for freshers).
• Basic understanding of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, aggregation queries).
• Basic knowledge of Python programming.
• Basic awareness of data warehousing concepts (tables, schemas, ETL at a conceptual level).
• Understanding of relational databases and data structures.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
