Junior Engineer Java, AS

Overview

Junior Engineer Java (AS) to extend and maintain Lending Services (COS) for mortgage and consumer lending, including design, development, testing, deployment, and 3rd level support.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and administer J2SE/J2EE application code for lending services requirements.
• Analyze new requirements and support business analysts in specifying requirements for reusable design.
• Develop, test, debug, and fix defects for assigned stories/bug fixes.
• Write unit tests for developed code and recommend improvements to Java application processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Integrate changes with other team stories and deploy to Development/Integration/UAT environments.
• Implement event-driven architectures and data pipelines using GCP services (Pub/Sub and Dataflow).

What you'll need

• Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience as a Java Developer.
• Deep knowledge of Core Java, Object Oriented and SOLID principles.
• Significant development experience in an Agile environment using unit testing and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and exposure to build tools like Maven/Gradle and Jenkins.
• Use of REST and SOAP in microservices-based applications.
• Proven GCP experience including Pub/Sub, Dataflow, GKE, Cloud Run, and GCP Scheduler.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and good knowledge of SDLC tool chains (Bitbucket, TeamCity, Artifactory, Maven).
