KYC Operations Analyst 1 – C09

Overview

Entry-level Business KYC role supporting Anti-Money Laundering monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting in coordination with the Compliance and Control team, and helping develop and manage Citi's internal KYC program.

What you'll do

• Partner with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to assist with the preparation, development, due diligence and approval of the electronic Know Your Client (KYC) record and supporting appendices.
• Create and maintain KYC records by obtaining information from internal and external sources (firm website, regulatory websites, etc.).
• Partner with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to update system information from initiation to approval of the KYC record and report workflow progress to your supervisor.
• Validate the information within KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents to ensure completion and accuracy.
• Ensure KYC records incorporate local regulatory requirements and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) Standards.
• Maintain the BSU tool.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, with particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhere to Policy, and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.
• Independently apply judgement in managing day-to-day responsibilities, including assessing complex situations, resolving issues, and determining appropriate courses of action.
• Be responsible for decisions and outcomes within your area of responsibility, ensuring delivery of work to defined quality and performance expectations.
• Ensure administrative processes are implemented consistently and outputs meet expected standards.
• Evaluate business requirements by analyzing complex issues and recommend practical, implementable solutions.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
