Lab Automation Application Engineer

Overview

Develop and validate applications for analytical and scientific instruments while supporting customers as a subject matter expert. Translate customer needs into optimized workflows and solutions with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Develop and validate instrument applications.
• Design, execute, and document scientific experiments and workflows.
• Create application notes, presentations, and training materials.
• Support customers with technical guidance and optimized solutions.
• Present to diverse audiences, including at conferences.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and commercial teams.
• Travel for customer support, training, and conferences.

What you'll need

• Advanced degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation and applications development.
• Knowledge of chromatography, mass spectrometry, microscopy, or related analytical techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with relevant software and data analysis tools.
• Fluency in English and ability to work independently across multiple projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with quality systems and regulated environments.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Additional language fluency.

• Remote, China.
• Standard Monday-Friday work schedule.
• Travel requirement: 25-40%.
