Lead AI Engineer

Overview

Lead the end-to-end implementation of Agentic AI and Intelligent Automation solutions for enterprise clients, while building, managing and upskilling a high-performing AI delivery team.

What you'll do

• Manage the full delivery lifecycle of AI initiatives, from initial discovery and proof-of-concept (PoC) to full-scale production deployment.
• Lead cross-functional teams comprising Data Scientists, AI Engineers and Solution Architects, defining KPIs, conducting performance reviews and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Drive expansion of the AI delivery practice by identifying talent gaps, leading recruitment efforts and managing onboarding of new technical hires.
• Establish structured mentorship programs and training paths to keep the team proficient in emerging technologies such as LLMOps, Agentic AI and advanced model architectures.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes and managing executive expectations.
• Collaborate with automation teams to integrate Agentic AI and Machine Learning models into broader Hyperautomation frameworks, including RPA and low-code platforms.
• Contribute to refining delivery methodologies and best practices within Roboyo's AI Center of Excellence, ensuring global consistency.
• Identify technical and operational risks early in the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies.

What you'll need

• Minimum of 7 years in professional services or technical project delivery, with at least 3 years specifically focused on AI or Machine Learning implementations.
• Proven experience managing, scaling and mentoring technical teams within a consulting or enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with Generative AI (LLMs) and Agentic AI.
• Overall familiarity with GCP, specifically: Vertex AI (training, deployment, Model Garden); BigQuery ML and data pipelines; Generative AI Studio and Gemini API integration; Cloud Functions and Cloud Run for ML ops; Python basics.
• Familiarity with MS Copilot Studio, Google ADK (Agent Development Kit) or MS Semantic Kernel or Langchain/Langgraph.
• Familiarity with Data Science and Machine Learning, LLMOps and MCP.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Proven experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in a technical environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• AI security and governance, Red Teaming.
• Experience with automation platforms such as UiPath, Appian, Mendix or Microsoft Power Platform.
• Previous experience in a management consulting or professional services environment.
