Lead Animator

Overview

Lead Animator for the Art and Graphics team at Aristocrat, creating character animations, game trailers, FX, and promotional videos for mobile and web environments.

What you'll do

• Build animations that match the brief and explore creative concepts.
• Ensure high-quality work with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers and coordinate assets/files.
• Develop technical understanding of tools including Photoshop, Spine, and Pixi.js.
• Optimize assets for games using the established asset pipeline.
• Present work for comment and review and manage time/priorities.
• Work with distributed team/studio leads and participate in after-business-hours calls as required.

What you'll need

• At least 4 years of experience in 2D animation.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for animation frames.
• Hands-on experience with Spine for skeletal 2D animation.
• Experience with Texture Packer for sprite sheet creation/optimization.
• Familiarity with Pixi.js Text Style Editor for in-game text styles.
• Experience with Pixi.js Particles Editor for particle effects.
• Skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects).
