Overview
Lead Application Engineer I supporting pre-sales engineering for Building Automation System global projects to meet country-specific standards.
What you'll do
- Support pre-sales engineering activities including technical assessment and presales estimation.
- Review project inputs/specifications to capture scope and complete requirements.
- Review MEP drawings/specifications/SOP to identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
- Prepare for and participate in project kick-off/review meetings, including logs and meeting minutes.
- Create bill of materials and select sensors, control valves, dampers, stations, and controllers.
- Prepare Building Automation System network architecture and ensure quality on deliverables and timelines.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Building Automation Industry/BMS design engineering.
- BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment (e.g., chilled water, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAV).
- Strong BMS architecture knowledge (operator workstations, supervisory controllers, DDC, sensors/actuators).
- Knowledge of network protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, and OPC.
- Proficiency in wiring starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and panels.
- Experience engineering/installing/commissioning HVAC & BMS systems for infrastructure projects.
