Lead Application Engineer I – ELV Systems’ Presales Engineering

Overview

Lead Application Engineer I for ELV Systems presales engineering for Fire and Security opportunities in India. Own techno-commercial activities from design inputs through proposals, costing, QC, and approvals.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end presales engineering for Fire and Security opportunities across India verticals.
• Own techno-commercial handling for ELV systems including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and related solutions.
• Review project inputs and initiate kick-off discussions using provided intake information.
• Prepare designs from floor plans to arrive at BOQ (when BOQ is unavailable) and identify risks/issues.
• Coordinate with OEMs and subcontractors to get solutions and proposals; negotiate for pricing.
• Prepare optimized techno-commercial costing sheets, proposals, and compliance statements, including self QC and 2nd-level QC.

What you'll need

• 11+ years of relevant experience in ELV Systems domains within the role focus area.
• Strong knowledge of ELV and ICT systems such as Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, and network infrastructure.
• India presales and estimation experience on multiple verticals.
• Ability to understand ELV specifications and perform product selections with deviation/compliance statements.
• Ability to work on complex costing sheets covering material, engineering, operations, and subcontract costs.
• Experience articulating solutions in structured technical proposal documents.
• Knowledge of ACAD, Visio, and Excel; proficient written and verbal communication.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Building Management System.
• Work experience in leading access control products (examples listed).
• Work experience in leading CCTV products (examples listed).
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems products (examples listed), and security/fire product certifications.
