Overview
Lead evaluation strategy and execution for FPGA prototypes and automotive networking ASICs, from platform bring-up through system validation, characterisation, and release readiness.
What you'll do
- Define evaluation strategies, test plans, coverage goals, methodologies, and release criteria.
- Translate product and system requirements into functional, performance, interoperability, robustness, and corner-case tests.
- Develop and maintain hardware and software evaluation platforms, test fixtures, and infrastructure.
- Build C and Python software for instrument control, data acquisition, regression testing, and reporting.
- Debug hardware, firmware, software, interface, and system-level failures.
- Evaluate Automotive Ethernet T1S functionality, including link behaviour, timing, diagnostics, and interoperability.
- Lead root-cause investigations, technical reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional issue resolution.
What you'll need
- Seven or more years of relevant experience in design evaluation, silicon validation, product engineering, or a comparable role.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience evaluating FPGA prototypes and validating or characterising ASICs.
- Strong proficiency in C and Python for test, automation, or embedded software.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, digital hardware, laboratory measurements, and hardware/software integration.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet and networking, including SPI, I²C, and UART.
- Ability to perform structured debugging, root-cause analysis, and technical data interpretation.
Nice to have
- Experience with automotive Ethernet, 10BASE-T1S, single-pair Ethernet, or MAC-PHY devices.
- Experience with Ethernet protocol analysis, traffic generation, interoperability testing, or fault injection.
- Experience developing microcontroller firmware and integrating host software with evaluation hardware.
- Familiarity with source control, continuous integration, regression frameworks, and requirements traceability.
