Lead Electronic Engineer

Overview

Lead electronic engineer responsible for end-to-end design and development of LV/MV VSD/VFD converter systems, covering sizing, simulation, testing, and validation through certification.

What you'll do

• Drive LV/MV drive and VFD converter engineering for AC/DC core power electronics systems.
• Size converter input/output filters for harmonics and perform earth & protection, arc flash, and RCA-related calculations.
• Design product hardware and support design considerations for EMC and electro-mechanical aspects.
• Validate part-level components and product-level designs for internal validation and third-party certification.
• Prepare and validate design documents including configurations, application guidelines, specifications, BOM, SLD, and drawings.
• Verify prototype hardware functional performance across specified operating conditions and support factory/vendor manufacturing.
• Conduct functional tests per applicable standards (e.g., UL/IEC) and coordinate FAT execution.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10+ years of power electronics design and testing expertise for industrial drives.
• Preferred experience/knowledge in simulation and electrical design tools: MATLAB/Simulink, Pspice, PSCAD, or Ansys.
• In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
• Must have understanding of domain-level knowledge on STATCOMs and marine design.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to mentor and guide a team.
