Lead Power Electronics Engineer

Overview

Lead the design and development of LV/MV drive systems (VSD/VFD) including sizing, simulation, testing, validation, and certification.

What you'll do

• Drive LV/MV power electronics engineering for AC/DC drive systems.
• Size drives and filters and perform loss budget, earth/protection, arc flash, and RCA calculations.
• Translate product/project specifications into designs using calculations, modeling, and simulations.
• Prepare and validate design documents including configurations, principles of operation, guidelines, specifications, BOM, SLD, and drawings.
• Verify prototype hardware functional performance under specified operating conditions.
• Support manufacturing at factory/vendor facilities and execute FATs per applicable standards.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of power electronics design & testing expertise for industrial drives.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronics or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Preferred knowledge of electrical design and tools such as AutoCAD/E-Plan and MATLAB/Simulink.
• In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
• Experience with design document preparation (BOM/SLD/drawings) as part of design responsibilities.
