Overview
Power Electronics Engineer focused on designing and testing LV/MV drive power electronics systems and related control and protection circuitry.
What you'll do
- Design LV/MV drive engineering solutions including AC/DC systems and control cabinet design.
- Perform sizing, hardware design, loss budget calculations, and develop filter & protection circuits.
- Translate product/project specifications into designs using calculations, modeling, and simulations.
- Create system/equipment designs aligned with reliability, testing standards, and manufacturability/material/cost guidelines.
- Prepare and validate design documents including configurations, principles of operation, application guidelines, specifications, BOM, SLD, and drawings.
- Verify prototype hardware functional performance under specified operating conditions.
- Support equipment manufacturing at factory/vendor and conduct functional tests and FATs per applicable standards.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 2 to 5 years of power electronics design & testing expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
- Preferred knowledge of simulation/design tools such as AUTOCAD, E-Plan, and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Internship completion in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
