Lead Engineer – Design

Overview

Lead Engineer – Structural Analysis supporting structural analysis activities for NPI and related aircraft advance structures programs.

What you'll do

• Understand system requirements, design intent, and applicable structural analysis practices and standards.
• Lead structural analysis for NPI, technology programs, value engineering, and resolve design issues.
• Recommend engineering solutions considering safety, cost, and weight constraints.
• Develop analysis methods to optimize products and components to meet customer requirements.
• Perform classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis and prepare stress reports/presentations.
• Apply vibration analysis plus static and fatigue analysis for aircraft structures.
• Support manufacturing concessions and failure investigations.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5+ years of industry experience in structural analysis using FE tools and classical hand calculations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, materials, stress, fatigue, and vibration.
