Lead Engineer, EI&C

Overview

Lead Engineer for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control (EI&C) engineering and functional design activities. Own EI&C design deliverables, reviews, and support through FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup for industrial projects.

What you'll do

• Lead functional design, specification, and engineering of EI&C systems for industrial projects.
• Develop and review EI&C architecture, control philosophies, and functional design specifications (FDS).
• Oversee selection and specification of control hardware/software including DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
• Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for complex EI&C challenges.
• Support supplier evaluations, technical bid analysis, and recommendations for control system procurement.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Manage and track engineering progress and maintain project documentation with proper handover.

What you'll need

• 8-12 years of progressive EI&C engineering experience, including functional design and lead roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Automation, or a related field.
• Experience designing distributed control systems (DCS) such as Valmet DNA, ABB, Siemens, Emerson, or Honeywell.
• Strong controls background and knowledge of functional design deliverables like FDS, control narratives, and loop diagrams.
• Knowledge of field instrumentation, control valves, MCC, VFDs, and low/medium voltage electrical systems.
• Familiarity with standards such as IEC, ISA, ATEX, and SIL.
