Lead Engineer QA

Overview

Lead a QA team to define quality strategy and deliver high-quality software in Agile environments, combining hands-on automation with people leadership.

What you'll do

• Define QA strategies and lead end-to-end testing activities.
• Design test strategies, test scenarios and test execution, and monitor and analyze results.
• Report quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Mentor QA teams and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps and Business teams.
• Drive QA strategy, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation or Software Development roles.
• 4+ years of team leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in SDET, QAE or QA Lead roles.
• Hands-on automation testing using Selenium/Playwright (preferably C#).
• Experience in AI-driven automation solutions, intelligent test automation and automation optimization techniques.
• Strong SQL skills, including SELECT statements, joins, data validation and analysis.
• Strong API testing experience using SOAP and REST services.
• Hands-on performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner or equivalent.
• Knowledge of deployment automation, continuous integration and build automation tools such as TFS, Jenkins, TeamCity or Azure DevOps.
• Conversant with Agile/Scrum methodology and release management processes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and web application development.
• Proven experience leading QA teams for enterprise-level applications and distributed teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
