Lead Engineer - Secondary Substation

Overview

Lead Engineer - Secondary Substation role within the Transmission & Distribution team in India.

What you'll do

• Provide specialized technical input to studies and design in your area of expertise.
• Develop study and design procedures to enable high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
• Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects.
• Execute discipline component work within the PS&E package and perform quality control reviews of calculations/drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections and provide input to engineering budget and schedule.
• Handle engineering design and modification activities for electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment.

What you'll need

• Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
• 8–12 years of work experience is preferred.
• Experience with HV Plant Design for large EHV Grid Substations is mandatory.
• Ability to lead large design engineering teams and face clients independently.
• Experience preparing Substation Protection and Control Scheme drawings, Relay Coordination and Settings, Panel GA drawings, Substation SCADA, and communication protocols is preferred.
• Very good communication skills (oral and written) in English are mandatory.

Details

• Location: Gurugram, HARYANA, India.
• Hybrid arrangement: hybrid employees asked to work from an AECOM office at least three days per week.
• Day 1 onboarding: newly hired employees required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
