Lead Engineer – Turbomachinery & Auxiliary Systems

Overview

Lead Mechanical Engineer role focused on turbomachinery and mechanical auxiliary systems for Industrial Energy Technology projects. Own engineering activities from requirements through design, analysis, and 3D model/interface validation.

What you'll do

• Lead multiple complex projects and report status, risks, and mitigations to leadership.
• Support manufacturing and site activities including assembly support and commissioning support.
• Derive mechanical auxiliary design requirements from customer specifications.
• Collaborate with external suppliers for basic engineering drawings, managing 3D models.
• Review engineering drawings and 3D models, performing FEA structural analysis for baseplates.
• Create piping line specifications using PUMA and design/lube oil system per API 614.
• Own skid package design (piping & supports, assembly locking) including external BOP skids.

What you'll need

• BE/BTech in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in rotating equipment packaging and related auxiliary/piping/structural design & analysis.
• Knowledge of piping design for ASME B31.1 & B31.3 and lube oil system sizing to API 614.
• Experience with sizing calculations and valve selection.
• Proficiency in NX modules for modelling, drafting, routing, and assembly.
• Hands-on tools including UG NX, AutoCAD, and analysis software like Ansys and Caesar.
• Ability to read engineering documents such as P&ID, technical data sheets, and O&M manuals.
