Design Engineer

Overview

Design Engineer focused on 2D/3D modeling and piping/skid deliverables using tools like AutoCAD and plant 3D software, including reviews and compliance reporting.

What you'll do

• Draft equipment and foundation layouts using AutoCAD.
• Prepare skid 3D models and Plant 3D models from basic engineering documents.
• Perform peer reviews and quality procedures for skid deliverables.
• Review PFD/PID and create equipment layout and skid pipe routing designs.
• Extract and annotate 2D drawings and produce piping deliverables (e.g., isometrics and layouts).
• Produce bill of quantity, support spacing guidance, and clash reports prior to model review.

What you'll need

• 7-10 years’ experience in mechanical design in water, power, oil & gas or related industries.
• Knowledge of A36 carbon structural steel, A105 carbon steel forgings, A106 seamless carbon steel pipe, A312 stainless steel pipe, and A335 alloy steel pipe.
• Engineering degree in Mechanical.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling software such as AutoCAD, Aveva E3D, Autodesk Plant3D, or Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to lead a group of engineers as Lead Piping Engineer.
