Lead Java Engineer - Vice President

Overview

Public Cloud Infrastructure Lead Developer responsible for foundational public-cloud infrastructure and engineering processes. Leads microservices development and automates infrastructure provisioning and orchestration for application hosting.

What you'll do

• Automate foundational public-cloud infrastructure components (Accounts, Network, Compute).
• Deliver tooling and capabilities to support a cloud-first strategy.
• Provide developer onboarding, account creation, and account management for supported cloud providers.
• Implement requirements traceability to support compliance to regulations and policy.
• Develop and enforce engineering best practices using modern SDLC to enable CI/CD, automation, auditability, automated testing, and policy as code.
• Drive new cloud-native solutions to undefined system needs when no solution exists in the community.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software development/automation experience in cloud platform engineering.
• Strong cloud service automation background with Kubernetes, Java with Spring Boot, Helm, Spring Reactive, and Linux.
• Experience in OO languages (Java) and strong object-oriented design/programming skills.
• Hands-on experience applying domain driven design to build complex business applications.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (preferred) or AWS cloud services.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, IAM, and security standards and practices.
• Engagement across the software development lifecycle from inception/design to deployment/operation/iterative development.
