Java Software Engineer -Vice President - Parametric

Overview

Principal/VP-level Java Software Engineer for Parametric (Morgan Stanley Investment Management) working on equity direct indexing portfolio management and related enterprise platforms.

What you'll do

• Design and develop proprietary solutions for equity direct indexing portfolio management.
• Provide technical leadership by directly managing, mentoring, and guiding a team of engineers.
• Drive team vision and strategy, including communication, consensus building, standards, and project management.
• Design, develop, and maintain services and APIs to support business needs.
• Build next-generation services using scalable and distributed computing principles.
• Ensure solutions are integrated, efficient, and appropriate for a highly regulated industry.
• Create unit/integration/functional/performance tests and conduct code reviews.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years managing software development teams with mentorship and project leadership.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid experience with SQL and relational and/or NoSQL (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB).

Details

• Location: Mumbai, India.
• Hybrid work model: working in the office 3 days a week and remote/office the remaining days.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the US West Coast time zone with flexibility for overlapping hours.
