Overview
Lead project engineering for energy storage and hybrid plant control systems, owning technical delivery and coordinating engineering, validation, commissioning support, and documentation.
What you'll do
- Manage project deliverables and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Lead detailed engineering, including controls software validation and commissioning support for Solar, Battery energy storage (BESS), and Hybrid Plant Control System and Inverter.
- Serve as the single point of contact for technical issues for the customer and project manager.
- Lead balance-of-plant technical engineering, including drawings (single line drawings, plan/elevation, general arrangement and site layout) and requirements (relay protection/control, LV/HV layouts, conduit/cable/wiring, grounding, control buildings).
- Own engineering activities such as schedule development, design review planning/tracking, QA/QC, and contractor management.
- Develop and administer customer overview and operational training material for the control system.
- Lead reliability and performance improvement through RCA, corrective actions, and process control validation.
What you'll need
- Minimum 10+ years of experience with detailed engineering, EPC, project execution, and control software design/development/implementation.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Controls Engineering or Science from an accredited college/university.
- Expertise in solar, energy storage, plant-level systems, inverter, transformer, RMU, and BOP plant equipment validation/verification and systems integration.
- Experience leading large-scale engineering projects and EPC/detailed engineering.
- Knowledge of grid code compliance in various countries.
- Experience in controls implementation or systems integration in products and field engineering.
- Knowledge of communication networks equipment functionality, selection, software features, and hardware & cyber security.
