Lead Python & SQL Application Developer - Vice President

Overview

Lead the design and development of scalable Python-based applications and platforms supporting credit risk analytics, workflows, and reporting. The role combines hands-on engineering, architecture, technical leadership, and AI-enabled innovation.

What you'll do

• Architect and deliver Python-based credit risk applications.
• Partner with risk, product, and technology leaders on platform enhancements.
• Design microservices architectures for scalability, resiliency, observability, and maintainability.
• Establish engineering standards for coding, testing, CI/CD, debugging, and production readiness.
• Apply AI and GenAI to modernize workflows and automate analysis.
• Mentor engineers and analysts and allocate work.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise controls, laws, regulations, and policies.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years of experience in application development or systems engineering.
• Advanced Python and SQL skills.
• Experience building API-driven services with FastAPI, Pydantic, and/or Django.
• Experience designing microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes experience in production.
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting, unit testing, TDD, and automated quality controls.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related STEM field.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience with Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, or Hive.
• Experience with Neo4j or credit risk and banking platforms.
• Experience modernizing monolithic systems or delivering AI solutions in regulated environments.
