Lead Research Engineer - AI/ML

Overview

Lead Research Engineer for AI/ML, focusing on algorithms and systems using artificial intelligence and computer vision for energy-related inspection and diagnostic use cases.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement AIML and computer vision algorithms to support process and product innovation.
• Analyze extensive datasets to find patterns, trends, and insights, including vision-based diagnostics and prognostics.
• Design and optimize AIML/vision models, including convolutional neural networks and generative models.
• Design and run experiments to assess the efficacy and reliability of AIML-based solutions.
• Document research findings, methodologies, and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate AIML solutions into existing system platforms.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts and support junior team members.

What you'll need

• PhD with 5+ years relevant experience or Masters with 7+ years relevant experience from a reputed institution.
• Strong understanding and experience in machine learning, AI, and computer vision, including image processing, object detection, segmentation, and deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs and Vision Transformers).
• Experience applying AIML and computer vision to industrial visual inspection, image classification, and object detection.
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation using pandas and NumPy.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.
