Job description

Overview

Lead Skywise Foundry Developer responsible for taking full accountability for project success, architecting complex solutions on the Palantir Foundry platform, defining technical standards, enforcing best practices, mentoring peers, driving innovation, and shaping technical strategy.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Project Leader, Product manager, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and present technical deliveries.
  • Partner with the Product Owner and Project Leader to prioritize, groom, and maintain the sprint backlog within an Agile/Scrum framework.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end application development by understanding business needs and translating them into clear technical requirements for the development team.
  • Design, develop, test, document, support, and operate Skywise (Palantir Foundry) applications involving data engineering, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and end-to-end test cases covering complex data workflows and UI interactions.
  • Manage Continuous Release Management and Continuous Improvement Programs.
  • Drumbeat and accelerate adoption of AI technologies in the team.
  • Log, track, and prioritize system defects using Agility or ServiceNow, collaborating with developers for rapid resolution.
  • Perform deep-technology root cause analysis to resolve complex data pipeline and application issues.
  • Understand complex business processes and the technical architecture of the Airbus application portfolio.
  • Assess the existing application landscape for technical and functional aspects and align it with best practices for integration and security.
  • Define and enforce technical best practices and Golden Rules, and conduct thorough source code auditing.
  • Drive awareness of relevant Quality and Project management practices and ensure compliance.
  • Identify and realize new business opportunities by working closely with relevant stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide development team members to build robust, easy-to-navigate code bases.
  • Support team members in developing competencies needed to deliver solutions.
  • Implement knowledge management for the applications managed in the team.
  • Act as a technical bridge between business requirements and project execution and ensure quality products are delivered.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Articulate complex technical constraints into clear business impacts.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, data science, or software application development.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience on Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders transnationally.
  • Strong proficiency in Pyspark, Python, SQL, Javascript, and Typescript.
  • Strong hands-on working experience with Palantir Foundry tools including Code repository, Pipeline builder, Access management, Ontology, Object explorer, Workshop, Templates, Marketplace, Quiver, and Slate.
  • Ability to implement optimizations at scale on Pyspark or Java-based decoding pipelines in Foundry Code Repositories to translate raw, compressed, or binary formats into clean, structured datasets.
  • Knowledge and experience of AIP tools on Foundry.
  • Strong ability to leverage AI tools in development and operational workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems.
  • Strong understanding of data governance and security aspects.
  • Knowledge of some of the following products/tools: Git, Confluence, Agility, Jira, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong willingness to continuously learn and explore.

Nice to have

  • Past experience in the aviation/manufacturing domain.
  • Prior working experience with aircraft sensor data and time series data processing in Skywise.
  • Prior working knowledge of AWS.
