Lead Software Engineer(Java/AI) – Vice President, Software Engineering

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Java/AI) responsible for leading design, development, modernization, and delivery of scalable enterprise platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture, design, and modernization of MS at Work platforms and services.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development.
• Partner with product and business stakeholders to define technology roadmaps and deliver initiatives.
• Build and scale highly available, secure, and performant enterprise applications.
• Lead, mentor, and grow software engineering teams across multiple initiatives.
• Lead modernization efforts including microservices, event-driven architecture, observability, and automation.

What you'll need

• 12-15 years of software engineering experience with at least 4+ years in technical leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, DDD, RESTful services, and distributed systems.
• Experience building event-driven systems using Kafka, JMS, or similar messaging.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
• Experience implementing observability solutions using Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
