Lead Software Engineer - Vice President - Software Engineering

Overview

Vice President, Exposure & Collateral Management Technology within BRM Technology—Lead software engineering efforts to build and maintain cloud-ready software solutions.

What you'll do

• Serve as a technical architect within a high-performance team for business implementation and cloud-ready architecture.
• Apply software and systems engineering principles to build and run complex distributed, scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
• Implement highly observable, available, and testable services in a cloud-ready manner.
• Mentor junior technologists and collaborate with senior technologists (VPs).
• Collaborate and communicate with external teams for strategic integration during a renovation agenda.
• Demonstrate leadership and responsibility for delivery of new features.

What you'll need

• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with Computer Science background.
• Understanding of Event Driven Architecture and microservices-based design.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux and shell/bash scripting.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and SQL for DDL/DML.
• Proficiency in Core Java 8.0 or above.
