Legal and Compliance Officer

Overview

Legal and Compliance Officer (India) as the primary in-house legal resource supporting ROCKWOOL India across multiple sites and the broader ROCKWOOL Asia legal function.

What you'll do

• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements for India operations.
• Provide practical legal opinions to internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
• Support regulatory compliance by building and implementing a compliance management framework.
• Assist with corporate secretarial and governance matters, including statutory filings and board resolutions.
• Handle dispute resolution activities, including pre-litigation correspondence and dispute process coordination.
• Coordinate data protection/privacy work on cross-border transfers and privacy impact assessments.
• Provide ad hoc legal advice to Sales, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Operations.

What you'll need

• Have an LLB or integrated law degree (BA LLB / BBA LLB) from an accredited Indian law school.
• Have 5–8 years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law.
• Demonstrate strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts across key areas.
• Possess working knowledge of Indian corporate law, contract law, and key regulatory frameworks.
• Be fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in Hindi; Tamil proficiency is advantageous.
• Be able to work independently, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines.
