Legal Counsel - Africa & Middle East

Overview

Legal Counsel supporting the Africa and Middle East region for Michelin’s AIM (Africa, India, Middle East and Sri Lanka) Region.

What you'll do

• Monitor and interpret applicable laws and regulations across the region and advise internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (e.g., franchise, distribution, supply, licensing, marketing).
• Ensure implementation and enforcement of regional compliance programs, including anti-corruption, antitrust, privacy, and export control.
• Advise HR on labor law issues and support drafting/updating HR policies.
• Supervise litigation matters with external counsel and manage selected cases.
• Support corporate governance and company secretarial compliance where required.

What you'll need

• 10–12 years of post-qualification experience.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience in legal roles.
• Strong expertise in commercial and corporate law.
• Experience with agency and distributorship arrangements, joint ventures, and mediation/dispute resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputed law school or university.
• Master’s degree in law preferred (not mandatory).
