LIMS Configuration Specialist

Overview

Support the configuration, enhancement and ongoing operation of the gLIMS Laboratory Information Management System (LabVantage), a business-critical GxP system used across Lonza's global quality control laboratories.

What you'll do

• Perform configuration and interface development for LabVantage LIMS.
• Support instrument integration and reporting activities (Jasper, Crystal Reports).
• Guide validation activities to ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity and CSV requirements.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, SOPs and training materials.
• Provide support for system enhancements, troubleshooting and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with System Owners, laboratory teams and IT stakeholders to align system capabilities with business needs.
• Apply ITIL processes to manage incidents, system availability and service management.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of IT experience with pharma laboratory applications (LIMS, LES, ELN).
• Hands-on experience with LabVantage LIMS configuration and interface development.
• Software development experience with Java and/or Groovy.
• Experience with reporting technologies such as Jasper or Crystal Reports.
• Strong database and SQL knowledge (MS SQL).
• Understanding of GxP, data integrity and computer system validation requirements.
• Experience writing and updating technical documentation, SOPs and training materials.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• Business fluent in English.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and troubleshoot issues.
