Manager, Cloud Network Engineering

Overview

Manage a cloud traffic engineering team responsible for developing, operating, and governing scalable Kubernetes-based private cloud offerings. Lead the delivery of secure, reliable traffic infrastructure and support high-performing engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers.
• Conduct one-on-one meetings and support career development.
• Manage performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Coordinate engineering activities and deliver product features.
• Drive software lifecycle instrumentation from requirements through deployment.
• Promote cloud-native technologies and standard processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, security, product, and resource-management teams.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and technologies, including Kubernetes, containerization, service mesh, and microservices.
• Experience with software development, networking, and security technologies in large-scale cloud environments.
• Experience supporting distributed global teams and medium- or large-scale technology organizations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining Linux kernels for large-scale computing platforms.
• Experience forecasting resources, allocating capacity, and reducing private cloud costs.
• Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure certifications.
• Experience with cloud security controls, compliance, monitoring, automation, or developer experience principles.
