Manager, Corporate Network Engineering

Overview

Lead and grow Anthropic’s Corporate Network Engineering team, owning corporate wired, wireless, and edge network infrastructure plus architecture standards, operations, and telemetry.

What you'll do

• Set technical direction and own final decisions on architecture standards across edge, campus switching, wireless, segmentation, out-of-band management, and telemetry.
• Own network reliability and operations, including monitoring, incident response, post-incident reviews, and an on-call/escalation model.
• Drive network-as-code by implementing templated configurations, change control, staged rollouts, drift detection, and automation.
• Partner with Security Engineering on network authentication, segmentation, and network-based detection use cases.
• Deliver new office and research facility networks and upgrade existing sites via live migrations while minimizing employee interruptions.
• Own vendor/carrier/integrator relationships and the network hardware budget, including evaluations, contracts, lead times, and refresh planning.

What you'll need

• 10+ years designing, building, and operating enterprise campus and edge networks, including at least one multi-site regional environment.
• 5+ years leading engineers, including at least 3 years as a people manager.
• Technical judgment across architecture to protocol behavior and failure modes.
• Experience operating networks including out-of-band access, monitoring, and a sustainable on-call model.
• Experience deciding what to build, buy, or automate, including vendor evaluations with real stakes.
• Clear communication with engineers, executives, contractors, and landlords to reach committed decisions.

• Location-based hybrid policy: expected in one of the company offices at least 25% of the time.
