Overview
Manage engineering and maintenance functions for Ferring India Production, covering mechanical and facility maintenance, process equipment, compliance, reliability, projects and team leadership.
What you'll do
- Supervise and lead the Mechanical & Facility maintenance function.
- Track expenses and oversee the budget for Mechanical & Facility maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures and quality metrics, including on-time investigation closure, corrective action implementation and on-time document updates.
- Manage pressure vessel testing, inspections and other compliances related to Mechanical and Building/Facility maintenance.
- Install and commission process equipment and manage qualification/validation of process equipment.
- Manage Mechanical & Facility maintenance systems and personnel to ensure work orders are completed within CMMS parameters in a timely and quality manner.
- Coordinate and schedule preventive/predictive maintenance activities for plant equipment and building infrastructure.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to monitor costs and equipment efficiency, including history cards using a CMMS software application.
- Oversee spares stock and ensure no downtime due to spares non-availability.
- Contract with outside service providers for facility and equipment-related maintenance needs.
- Attend daily breakdowns and perform root cause analysis of production equipment breakdowns.
- Monitor MTTR/MTBF and production lost hours due to equipment/facility failures and ensure measures for breakdown reduction.
- Support facility expansion projects and implement maintenance strategy programs and other initiatives for improvement and cost reduction.
- Ensure review and execution of validation, SOP preparation, as-built P&ID and GA drawings maintenance.
- Coordinate and ensure completion of Mechanical/Facility-related AMC/services.
- Lead and develop a team of technicians and engineers, fostering a positive work culture and promoting continuous learning and professional development.
What you'll need
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical.
- 15-18 years of experience/exposure, preferably in API/Formulation/FMCG/Automation Industries.
- Exposure to a Computerized Maintenance Management System or SAP.
- Sound experience in maintenance of reactors, centrifuges, ANFDs, process vessels, vacuum pumps, powder handling/charging systems, heat exchangers and scrubbers.
- Exposure to maintenance of ETP/ZLD equipment, including ATFD, MEE and RO.
- Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Sound knowledge of project documents including P&ID, PFD, equipment data sheets and equipment selection as per process.
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD tools.
- Familiarity with MTBR/MTBF.
- Basic knowledge of cGMP documents related to an engineering environment and other Good Engineering Practices.
- Familiarity with tools used for root cause identification.

Nice to have
- Exposure to Energy Management ISO50001:2018.
