Manager – Microsoft Purview Data Governance Engineer, Advisory

Overview

Manage Microsoft Purview data governance engineering for enterprise data sources across on-premises and cloud environments. The role focuses on automation, metadata management, Microsoft 365 governance, and Power Platform migrations.

What you'll do

• Manage Microsoft Purview for enterprise data sources.
• Develop PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI automation for Purview APIs.
• Configure data source registration, scans, rule sets, and schedules.
• Manage Purview Domains, Collections, and Data Catalogs.
• Implement data governance policies across SharePoint and Teams.
• Support Power Platform tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Monitor governance maturity, data quality, and compliance metrics.

What you'll need

• 3 to 6 years of experience in the role area.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar platforms.
• Expertise in Purview Data Map, scanning, classification, and metadata management.
• Strong PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI scripting skills.
• Experience with cloud and on-premises data sources including Azure SQL Database, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 governance and Power Platform migrations.
• Bachelor of Technology degree.
