Manager – Observability Engineer, Advisory

Overview

Manager-level Observability Engineer role in PwC's Advisory line of service, focused on designing and operating observability and monitoring solutions for cloud-based systems.

What you'll do

• Design and deploy observability components (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Alertmanager) on AKS.
• Define thresholds, dashboards and alerts for proactive system health.
• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines and monitor CI/CD metrics.
• Lead a team of junior engineers.

What you'll need

• Experience with the Prometheus and Grafana stack.
• Experience with the Azure stack: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and KQL, Application Insights, Azure ADX, Logic Apps.
• Experience with Python, Flask, React JS, APIs, PowerShell and Shell.
• Solid understanding of Application Performance Monitoring.
• Solid understanding of Azure cloud and networking concepts.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience leading a team of junior engineers.
• Years of experience required: 7.
• Degree: Bachelor of Engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Datadog, Elastic Stack or Dynatrace.
• Experience in infrastructure as code with Terraform.
