Manager, Software Development Engineering in Test

Overview

Lead SDET and automation engineering teams responsible for quality strategy, test architecture, automated validation, and reliable delivery across endpoint management and enterprise SaaS platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop SDET, automation engineering, and technical leadership teams.
• Define quality engineering strategy, automation roadmaps, standards, metrics, and governance.
• Build scalable automation for functional, integration, regression, performance, resiliency, and system validation.
• Oversee validation of endpoint agents, management workflows, operating systems, and SaaS releases.
• Partner with engineering, product, support, operations, and security teams on delivery and quality risks.
• Drive architecture reviews, root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and testability improvements.
• Adopt AI-assisted tools for test generation, code analysis, debugging, and coverage expansion.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 6 years of software engineering, SDET, quality engineering, or automation engineering experience.
• At least 2 years managing software engineering, SDET, or QA automation teams.
• Experience building and scaling test automation frameworks and validation platforms.
• Software development experience with C#, Java, Kotlin, or related languages.
• Deep knowledge of Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems and internals.
• Experience with SaaS or distributed systems and Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and release practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with endpoint management, RMM, security, MDM, UEM, or device management platforms.
• Experience testing endpoint agents, systems software, device drivers, or security software.
• Familiarity with Intune, Apple MDM, Android Enterprise, Linux device management, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with virtualization, lab automation, device provisioning, security, performance, resiliency, or reliability testing.
• Experience driving AI adoption in software development and testing.
