Manager Software Engineering

Overview

Manager, Software Engineering to lead cloud-native and AI native application engineering for Airline customer solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

What you'll do

• Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams across application, platform, systems, quality, and database engineering.
• Balance speed, quality, reliability, and cost across cloud-native platforms and applications.
• Align engineering work with product strategy, architectural direction, and business priorities.
• Directly manage and develop senior/lead engineers across multiple disciplines.
• Act as a primary engineering point of contact for Product Management, Architecture, SRE, Security, and Business stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and governance across architecture, CI/CD/automation, testing, and data platform operations.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of total industry experience in software engineering or related technical roles.
• 3–4+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
• Hands-on experience designing and building enterprise-grade applications using the Java programming stack.
• Hands-on experience with microservices-based architectures using RESTful APIs, gRPC, and distributed systems.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and integration.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent public cloud environments.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
