Manager, Technical Program Manager

Overview

Manager, Technical Program Management oversees execution of complex, cross-functional technical initiatives supporting Tekion’s product and engineering strategies.

What you’ll do

• Drive planning and execution of high-impact technical programs from concept through delivery across engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Define program goals, scope, timelines, and deliverables with technical leadership.
• Manage cross-team dependencies, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Establish operating rhythms to track progress, communicate status, and escalate issues.
• Foster collaboration and accountability between engineering, product management, QA, and infrastructure teams.
• Develop program management best practices, tools, and templates to scale the TPM function.
• Coach and mentor program team members to improve delivery practices and execution quality.

What you’ll need

• 6–8 years of experience in technical program management or related roles.
• At least 2 years in a program or team leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to manage complex software, systems, or platform programs at scale.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, agile practices, and technical architecture concepts.
• Strong communication skills focused on stakeholder alignment and delivery clarity.
• Proficiency in program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to have

• PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications.
