Managing Engineer (C#/ASP.NET)

Overview

Lead a software engineering team while designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications for Allstate's Individual Health business. This hands-on role combines people leadership with active technical contributions using C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and modern web technologies.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop software engineers.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications.
• Contribute production-ready code and system enhancements.
• Review code and guide technical implementation.
• Lead technical design and architectural decisions.
• Support production applications and lead root cause analysis.
• Establish continuous integration and delivery practices.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years developing enterprise applications with ASP.NET and C#.
• At least 1 year leading or managing software engineers.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting production applications.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and complex Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.
• Experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, Git, and automated testing.
• Experience in Agile environments with strong problem-solving and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, insurance, financial services, or sales applications.
• Experience with Oracle databases, cloud initiatives, DevOps, or application modernization.
• Success building and developing high-performing engineering teams.

Details

• Remote role in the United States.
• Annual compensation: $100,000–$170,500.
• Supervisory responsibilities are included.
