Market Research Analyst

Overview

Market Research Analyst role in Zafin’s Market Intelligence team, reporting to the Director of Market Intelligence.

What you'll do

• Run and improve AI-enabled research workflows across sourcing, extraction, synthesis, and brief generation.
• Maintain continuous coverage of priority markets and update the system as needs and gaps emerge.
• Automate research intake by building pipelines that ingest analyst reports, earnings calls, regulatory filings, and annual reports.
• Validate AI-generated research outputs by testing against primary and trusted sources for accuracy and citation integrity.
• Track competitors and market activity, including positioning, releases, partnerships, acquisitions, and go-to-market activities.
• Develop strategic account intelligence and translate trends into briefs for product, marketing, sales, and executive audiences.
• Contribute market sizing and segmentation evidence for launches and other go-to-market initiatives.

What you'll need

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s in marketing, business, economics, computer science, or a related field.
• Have 2 to 5 years of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, market intelligence, strategy consulting, or a related analytical role.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of competitive intelligence, market intelligence, and go-to-market research practices.
• Have hands-on experience using AI to build research workflows and agentic processes beyond basic prompting.
• Be able to read, evaluate, and synthesize long, complex reports accurately.
• Have strong research judgment to distinguish credible evidence from unsupported conclusions.
• Have experience with data-analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.

Nice to have

• Have an MBA or postgraduate qualification.
• Have experience in banking, financial services, enterprise technology, or another regulated industry.
• Be familiar with banking technology, enterprise software, AI governance, agentic AI, integration platforms, or legacy modernization.
• Have familiarity with APIs, workflow automation platforms, data extraction tools, or retrieval-augmented generation systems.
