Mechanical Engineer- Packaging

Overview

Mechanical Engineer responsible for packaging design, supplier transfers, and sustaining projects within a global Supplier Transfer Excellence Team.

What you'll do

• Support cross-functional supplier transfer and sustaining projects.
• Create 2D drawings, specifications, 3D models, assemblies, and detailed packaging designs.
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Optimize packaging designs for manufacturability, performance, quality, cost, and compliance.
• Conduct DFM and DFA reviews with suppliers.
• Identify packaging materials, create BOMs, and release designs.
• Develop test plans and review supplier part qualification activities.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of design engineering and product development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, or Industrial Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with 2D and 3D CAD software.
• Experience with engineering change management and PLM software such as Windchill or Agile.
• Experience with ISTA and other packaging standards.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and regulated industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, English communication, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience with Creo or SolidWorks.
• Experience supporting global projects.

Details

• Location: Pune, India.
• Office-based teams work in person at least 3 days per week.
