Mechanical System Installation Engineer - LG

Overview

Mechanical System Installation Engineer role focused on engineering technical responsibility for Landing Gear Modifications (MODs). You will support supplier proposal evaluation, MOD statement of work development, and engineering documentation/release activities.

What you'll do

• Evaluate supplier modification proposals for landing gear MODs.
• Interact with stakeholders to identify and develop MOD statement of work (SoW).
• Develop and deploy project plans for identified SoW.
• Work with suppliers to define verification and validation criteria.
• Review supplier engineering documentation for MODs including design, justification, qualification, certification, and maintenance.
• Manage technical and schedule risks and prepare engineering documentation needed for certification.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Have minimum 5 years overall experience.
• Have at least 3 years of experience in Mechanical/Hydro-Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical component design.
• Be able to produce detail design including basic design calculations and material/protective process selection.
• Use CAD tooling, with proficiency in at least one CAD tool.
• Demonstrate good communication and multiple stakeholder management.
