Member Technical Staff II (Full-stack)

Overview

Full-stack (Member Technical Staff II) role focused on leading technical delivery through hands-on backend development, architecture alignment, and quality/operations improvements.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and review features and APIs including services, integrations, and data access.
• Own reliability for services you work on (correctness, performance, observability, and safe releases).
• Partner on requirements and technical trade-offs, including estimates.
• Improve systems across database schema, caching, deployment, and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to process improvements such as better tests and CI/CD hygiene.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to support onboarding and operations.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional experience shipping production backend services in Java (Spring Boot) or an equivalent JVM stack.
• Comfort with REST APIs, validation, and auth integration (OAuth2/JWT) and common Spring patterns.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design, migrations (e.g., Flyway), indexing, transactions, and slow-query debugging.
• Hands-on experience with Redis or Valkey including cache keys, TTLs, invalidation, and failure modes.
• Experience with Gradle or Maven, unit/integration tests, and CI-friendly workflows.
• Experience with Docker and deploying/operating services on AWS (or similar), including configs, secrets, logs, and metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
