MidMarket Sales Engineer (Ohio Valley)

Overview

Mid-Market Sales Engineer at Abnormal AI, acting as the primary technical contact for enterprise email and identity security sales from discovery through close.

What you'll do

• Serve as technical authority and primary decision partner in enterprise sales cycles.
• Own Proof of Value (POV) success criteria and outcomes from discovery through close.
• Lead architecture-level technical discussions with security, email, and identity teams.
• Run technical discovery to uncover risk, including customer questions and objections.
• Conduct in-person and remote product demonstrations.
• Answer architecture-level and modern threat questions without deferring to Product or Engineering.
• Educate and implement AI security solutions across email, identity, and other security stack verticals.

What you'll need

• Mid-Sales Engineering experience or relevant industry experience or demonstrable technical aptitude.
• Ability to lead technical discovery and architecture discussions with security, infrastructure, identity, and compliance teams.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong independent work capability in a fast-paced, sales-focused environment.
• Solid technical understanding of SaaS security models in multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, and enterprise networking concepts for email and SaaS security.
• Curiosity about not only whether a product works, but how/why it works.
