Enterprise Sales Engineer (Ohio Valley)

Overview

Enterprise Sales Engineer serving as the primary technical contact for complex enterprise opportunities, owning Proof of Value (POV) outcomes and leading technical/architecture discussions.

What you'll do

• Act as technical authority and primary technical decision partner in enterprise sales cycles from discovery through close.
• Own and drive successful outcomes and criteria for Proof of Value (POV) programs.
• Conduct in-person and remote product demonstrations.
• Lead architecture-level technical discussions with security, email, and identity teams.
• Run technical discovery to uncover customer risk, pain points, requirements, and strategic objectives.
• Articulate technical and business value of the platform and address competitive questions and objections.
• Drive customer satisfaction and successful enterprise outcomes.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience OR relevant industry experience.
• Ability to lead technical discovery and architecture discussions with security, infrastructure, identity and compliance teams.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-impact enterprise sales environment.
• Solid understanding of SaaS security models including multi-tenant cloud environments.
• Working knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, TLS, and enterprise networking concepts as they relate to email and SaaS security.
• Working knowledge of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and common failure modes.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise email security platforms (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast, Cisco, Barracuda).
• Hands-on technical background in messaging and internet security principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Exchange Online / Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel) and SOC workflows.
• Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, or equivalent).
