MS Network engineer

Overview

Provides first-line managed network services support, monitoring client infrastructure, resolving incidents and fulfilling requests through approved procedures.

What you'll do

• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions for errors and incidents.
• Investigate and resolve first-line technical incidents and problems.
• Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket and chat support.
• Execute patching and configuration-change maintenance activities.
• Manage shift handovers and escalate incidents when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to reduce recurring incidents and automate processes.
• Support project work and disaster recovery tests when required.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Juniper, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Basic understanding of Cisco Nexus, ASR and ISR routers, Cisco ACS, ISE and Meraki switches.
• Basic understanding of BGP, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols.
• Good understanding of ITSM tools and processes.
• Strong planning, adaptability, communication and active listening skills.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or computing, or equivalent experience.
