Network Engineer - L1

Overview

Provide first-line managed network services support, keeping client infrastructure and systems operational through monitoring, incident resolution, and service requests.

What you'll do

• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions for errors and incidents.
• Investigate and resolve first-line technical incidents and problems.
• Fulfil requests using approved procedures and knowledge articles.
• Provide support through telephone, ITSM tickets, and chat.
• Perform patching and configuration changes.
• Escalate incidents when necessary and support shift handovers.
• Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, project work, and disaster recovery testing.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of network technologies, firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and routing protocols.
• Knowledge of ITSM tools and processes.
• Ability to handle tickets and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong planning, adaptability, and resilience under pressure.
• Client-focused communication and active listening skills.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computing, or equivalent experience.
