Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1)

Overview

Networking Managed Services Engineer (L1) providing entry-level managed services to keep clients’ IT infrastructure and systems operational.

What you'll do

• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems.
• Monitor client infrastructure and solutions to catch errors early.
• Investigate first-line incidents, determine root causes, and follow approved procedures for request fulfillment.
• Provide support via telephony, ITSM tickets, or chat support.
• Execute maintenance activities such as patching and configuration changes.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and update/escalate incidents or requests as needed.

What you'll need

• Basic understanding of technologies including Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Juniper (Virtual), Palo Alto, Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco Nexus switches, ASr/ISr routers, Cisco ACS, ISE, and Meraki switches.
• Basic understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Highly disciplined handling of tickets using available knowledge articles and approved SOPs.
• Good understanding of ITSM tools and ITSM processes.
• Strong planning skills for possible changes and circumstances.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology/computing or equivalent experience.
